Kelly Science is seeking a Chemist for a growing company located in New Britain, CT.
Salary: $55,000-75,000/year
Shift: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
Summary
As a chemist, you will be responsible for performing laboratory testing on products by utilizing analytical instrumentation including HPLC, ICP-MS, GC, etc. You will also be responsible for interpreting and reporting data in compliance with the most current versions of 935 CMR 500, 935 CMR 501 and ISO 17025 requirements.

Summary
As a chemist, you will be responsible for performing laboratory testing on products by utilizing analytical instrumentation including HPLC, ICP-MS, GC, etc. You will also be responsible for interpreting and reporting data in compliance with the most current versions of 935 CMR 500, 935 CMR 501 and ISO 17025 requirements.
Job Duties Include
- Operating an instrument with knowledge of proper techniques for calibration, daily analysis, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, standard preparation, etc.
- Assisting with sample preparations, extractions, and/or digestions when needed.
- Compiling and interpreting raw data into confident cannabis with the ability to spot outliers or suspicious data.
- Working alongside Project Managers to ensure clients expectations are met in regard to turn-around times, rush samples, etc.
- Overseeing work conducted by analysts and technicians who prepare sample aliquots.
- Maintaining a clean and sanitary laboratory environment by cleaning glassware, picking up bench area, and de-cluttering daily.
- Complying and verifying all required documentation for analysis is complete and compliant.
- Adapting of processes as required for unique sample situations, outside of normal SOP scope.
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a scientific related field
- Previous experience with HPLC, GC, ICP-MS, or similar analytical instrumentation
- Ability to work in fast paced environments, adapt to changing processes/regulations, and must be able to problem solve.
