Chart Preparation

Location: Davenport, IA 52803

Cardiovascular Medicine is looking for a detail-oriented and organized Chart Preparation team member to join our Informatics department in Davenport.

If you enjoy working behind the scenes to ensure patients have a smooth and successful visit and you're comfortable using technology in a fast-paced healthcare setting this may be the perfect fit for you!

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare EMR charts for upcoming office visits, ensuring necessary medical records are obtained and scanned.
• Contact external doctor offices, hospitals, and labs to collect required information.
• Complete chart prep two business days in advance of scheduled visits.
• Delete duplicate records and abstract relevant health information, including recent procedures and test results.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new chart prep staff.
• Collaborate closely with the Informatics Lead and Supervisor, as well as clinical teams and providers.
  
  

What Were Looking For

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical office experience preferred.
• Associate degree in HIM or Medical Assisting is a plus.
  
  

Skills & Abilities

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organization and time management.
• Able to work independently and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable using computer systems and electronic medical records.

Pay Range: $16.50 $21.50 per hour, based on experience
