Since 1920, FFWW programs have prevented homelessness and enhanced the economic wellbeing of women veterans and their families. We provide real solutions and create innovative partnerships to address the following top four needs identified by women veterans: housing, employment, education, and childcare. Our programs help women veterans remain in/obtain safe and affordable housing which help them to work, care for their children and attend school, all of which enhance family stability.
Job Title: Case Manager (Full-Time)
Salary: $24-28/hour

This position has the opportunity to become hybrid after the first 90 days. Occasional weekend and evening hours required.
Purpose of Position: This position will identify, coordinate, and assign appropriate program interventions to enhance the personal and economic stability of women veterans and their families. The Case Manager will provide a variety of activities to manage and monitor our emergency services program. This position will conduct and oversee client intake, needs assessments, and recommend program interventions and conduct quarterly check-ins.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify clients’ service needs and resolve or mitigate screening barriers as applicable.
- Works with clients on obtaining benefits and/or increase income.
- Communicates expectations to clients.
- Assist in development of and encourage adherence to a personal budget, in establishing financial goals with budgetary tools and education, to assist clients in achieving self-sufficiency.
- Work with clients in locating and securing housing and childcare of their choice; assist with applications as needed. Prepares stipend reccommendations.
- Provide proactive follow-up communication to further progress towards self-sufficiency and to assist with military transition into the civilian sector.
- Create and maintain consistent communication, both verbal and written, and complete documentation and enter data into client database in an accurate and timely manner.
- Collect and report program data, including but not limited to quarterly reporting and funders’ required data utilizing a client management database.
- Participate in staff meetings, and trainings and execute other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Excellent listening, oral and written communication skills, as well as enthusiasm for FFWW’s mission required.
- Must work well autonomously and as part of a team.
- Excellent online research skills.
- Strong database/client management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite. Client intake, reporting, tracking, and surveying is done via Bonterra Case Management (Apricot).
- Professional training in communication with Foundation for Women Warriors team and individually (requires an online assessment).
Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in social work, social services, and/or related human services field preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in low income, family-based, or veteran services, and/or commensurate experience preferred.
- Knowledge of community resources for veterans/ and or low-income households.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain client confidentiality, culturally sensitive, and respect diversity.
- Ability to provide support, structure, sound judgement, insight into human behavior and family relations.
- Must have a valid California driver’s license, insurance and a reliable vehicle and be willing to use it on the job.
