As a Buyer, you will be responsible for overseeing UPLIFT Desk’s purchasing activities, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring the company obtains high-quality goods and services at the best possible prices. This role requires strong negotiation skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to meet organizational needs while maintaining compliance with internal policies and external regulations. The position reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager while maintaining functional accountability to the Senior Buyer.

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing procurement strategies that drive cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Strong computer literacy, familiarity with G-suite and intermediate spreadsheet skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on cost efficiency and value creation.
  • Positive, “can-do” attitude, excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Bonus Points For

  • Prior experience using an ERP system for purchase order and inventory management. (Priority preference given for previous Netsuite experience.)
  • 4-year degree in a related field, such as Business, Economics, Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
  • 3+ years of experience in procurement, ecommerce preferred.
  • Experience in international procurement, contracting and supply chain management, Asia experience preferred.
  • Familiarity working with sophisticated tools for demand and supply planning (i.e Blue Ridge).
  • Advanced spreadsheet and data analysis skills.

What You’ll Do

  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers to meet organizational requirements.
  • Process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and new product offerings.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to achieve favorable agreements, optimizing costs while maintaining quality and service levels.
  • Monitor vendor performance, ensuring adherence to quality, delivery timelines, and contractual obligations.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and vendor databases.
  • Work closely with internal teams to understand their procurement needs and specifications, while being an organizational champion of cost-consciousness.
  • Perform other tasks as necessary to ensure the success of the organization.
