Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Representative to join our growing team in Portland, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities, contributing to our company’s growth and success.

  • Prospect and qualify new sales leads through cold calling, email outreach, and social selling techniques
  • Conduct thorough research on potential clients and their industries to tailor our value proposition
  • Schedule and conduct introductory meetings with decision-makers to understand their needs and present our solutions
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement effective lead generation strategies
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and customer interactions in our CRM system
  • Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets and key performance indicators
  • Participate in industry events and trade shows to expand our network and generate new leads
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor offerings, and our product/service developments

Qualifications

  • 1 – 3 years of experience in sales or business development, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with potential clients
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills to effectively communicate our value proposition
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational abilities to manage multiple prospects and priorities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred
  • Knowledge of sales techniques and methodologies
  • Understanding of the B2B sales process and ability to adapt to various industries
  • Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently
  • Resilience and persistence in the face of rejection and ability to learn from feedback
