Business Analyst I

Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a Business Analyst I to support the IT program at a major national laboratory. Our IT services department is trusted and dedicated to being a true IT partner to all of our customers by providing tailored, innovative technology solutions, and unparalleled customer service. Provide expertise in business process and system analysis, design, improvement, and implementation efforts and in translating business process needs into technical requirements.
Provide expertise in change management and training support.
Provide organizational and strategic planning for a wide variety of technical and functional environments.
Provide expertise in, but not limited to, Configuration Management, Strategic Planning, Knowledge Management, Business Analysis and Technical Analysis.
Candidate will lead operations associated with our mission focused service desk, back-office support for BI initiatives, scheduling, customer interaction and communication, reporting, requirements gathering.
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT related field and 2 years of experience, or an associate degree in an IT related field + 5 years of experience, or 8 years of total experience in lieu of a degree.
- U.S. Citizenship is required per contract. Must have an active DOE Q or Top Secret Clearance for onsite support or DOD Top Secret Reciprocity
- Must be able to obtain a SCI for onsite support.
- Must be willing to take and pass a Polygraph, if necessary
- Previous work in a National Lab environment, preferably in an IT department (at least 2 years).
- Previous experience with PowerBI or other BI related tool
- Previous back-office support in a capability such as office assistant, ticket dispatcher, or inventory and property management.

Service Now Experience
Scheduling experience
Previous experience working with IT technicians and customers.
Previous experience with Change Management processes and working with a IT change board.
