Job Summary
The Building Maintenance Technician is to support the building, property, and office spaces of our CNC machine shop. This role involves performing routine maintenance, basic repairs, and troubleshooting across facility systems, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general upkeep to ensure a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment for both production and office areas.

The Building Maintenance Technician is to support the building, property, and office spaces of our CNC machine shop. This role involves performing routine maintenance, basic repairs, and troubleshooting across facility systems, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general upkeep to ensure a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment for both production and office areas.
Essential Job Duties
- Basic Repairs: Perform basic plumbing repairs (e.g., fixing leaks, unclogging drains), electrical repairs (e.g., replacing switches, outlets, light fixtures), carpentry tasks (e.g., repairing doors, cabinets, partitions, painting), and office furniture repair to maintain functional and safe work environments.
- Ability to assist with overseeing outside contractors.
- Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of CNC machines and other shop equipment when necessary.
- Regularly check community spaces to identify issues with mechanical failures.
- Provide general upkeep of property grounds, including minor landscaping, trash removal, and exterior repairs as needed.
- Conduct performance assessments of company appliances, such as refrigerators, microwaves, sinks, showers, and toilets, etc.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds without restrictions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required, technical or vocational training in maintenance, mechanics, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years working experience in similar role.
- Experience in a manufacturing or CNC machine shop environment is highly desirable.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to work with hardware tools and power equipment.
- Operation of forklift/scissor lift is preferred; will train.
- Detail oriented and organized.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
