Box Truck Driver

We Ship Express is a logistics and distribution company located just off I-75 and US-301 in the new Florida International Tradeport in Palmetto, FL 34221. Our hours of operation are Monday thru Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

About The Position

We Ship Express is seeking a driver to join our team. Work hours are 7 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday. As a driver you will go to our customer locations around the local area and load their packages/pallets onto a 26-foot box truck with liftgate, using a hand pallet jack. We expect you to be courteous and professional when interacting with customers.

You must have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record for the past 5 years, have 2 or more years of professional driving experience, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.

Driver Duties and Responsibilities

• Load and organize product inventory from the customer into your vehicle and unload products in and out of the truck as needed throughout the day.
• Follow scheduled route for daily pickup.
• Keep vehicle organized, clean and tidy.
• Complete daily before, during, and after truck inspection to ensure it remains in good operational condition.
• Process orders accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  
  

Driver Requirements And Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and 2 or more years of professional driving experience
• A clean driving record with no moving violations in the past five years
• Proficient at driving and parking 26-foot box truck with lift gate
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds comfortably
• Experience using hand pallet jack, and electric pallet jack is a plus
• Dependable
