Description

Meeker Aviation is the world leader in designing and manufacturing payload mounts for helicopters and certain fixed-wing applications. We are a part of Signia Aerospace, a trusted partner dedicated to delivering highly specialized aircraft components. Airfilm Manufacturing/Meeker Aviation is seeking a full-time Bookkeeper to support our Controller in our Vancouver, WA office and provide accounting support to our Operations/Sales teams located in California. This role will provide accounts payable and accounts receivable services, account reconciliations and support the accounting team in the month-end close process.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter who works well independently but enjoys working in a collaborative team environment. Excellent communication skills with internal and external employees, customers and vendors and a helpful, positive demeanor are vital to this role. Accuracy, attention to detail, problem solving skills and an understanding of accounting principles are critical as well as curiosity as to how your work fits into the bigger picture.

This is a full-time onsite Monday-Friday position.

Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable:
    • Process accounts payable invoices and check runs/ACH payments
    • Expense Reports
    • Credit Card reconciliations/sync to accounting system
  • Accounts Receivable
    • Review and send out customer invoices
    • Create Proforma Invoices (advance payment)
    • Daily bank deposits
    • Customer set up/sales tax exemption certificates
    • A/R Aging and Collections
  • Vendor Management
    • W-9s
    • Preparation of 1099-Misc.
  • Month End Reconciliations & Close
  • Support the accounting team in month end reconciliations and close as required.
  • Work closely with Airfilm Manufacturing/Meeker Aviation’s Operations Manager and Sales Manager to provide accounting support services as needed.
  • Provide accounting support/back-up to Onboard System’s bookkeeper as needed.
  • Other Duties as assigned.
Requirements

  • Three to five years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Understanding of GAAP.
  • Three to five years of experience using Quickbooks Online and ERP systems such as Fishbowl.
  • Familiarity with online banking platforms.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate well with employees in other locations (CA) both verbally and in writing.

Salary: $25-30/hr. Benefits package includes medical, dental, vision insurance, 401K with company match, vacation & holiday pay.
