Expected pay for this position is $31.19 - $36.69/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Biomedical Equipment Technician II (BMETII) performs scheduled maintenance and repairs of a wide variety of medical devices ranging from basic medical technology to sophisticated systems. Examples of these medical devices are; Networked physiological monitoring systems, defibrillators, Medical Laboratory equipment, various Respiratory Therapy equipment, specialized surgical systems, basic X-ray systems, Ultrasound, etc. The BMET II will also provide the following services; incoming equipment inspections, installation, recall & alert activities and calibration & repair of medical devices.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma and 5 years of experience in Electronic, Mechanical, IT, or Healthcare industry OR Associate’s degree and 3 years of experience in Electronic, Mechanical, IT, or Healthcare industry
• Human Anatomy and Physiology with 1 year of hire
• Medical Terminology within 1 year of hire
• Advanced Biomedical Equipment Service “vendor” training (Patient monitoring, electrosurgical, infusion
• Valid state driver’s license
  
  

Other Skills/knowledge

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree
• Experience: Military Training in Technical Field Medical Device Experience
• Licensure/Certifications: CBET or CLES Certification
