Essential Functions

  • Communicates directly with KDADS and prevention partner organizations to determine training and technical assistance needs
  • Develops and implements a transition plan for services during the first year of the contract
  • Coordinates prevention efforts with other KDADS contractors to avoid duplication of services and implement integrated supports for communities
  • Attends meetings and serves on collaborations or project teams as indicated by KDADS
  • Assesses community training needs and establishes training plans
  • Coordinates and facilitates community training and technical assistance requests
  • Assesses, develops and delivers training tools, resources and guidance documents
  • Connects community coalitions to available resources and subject matter experts
  • Collaborates with other KDADS prevention contractors
  • In collaboration with KDADS, develops a communication plan that defines roles and responsibilities for the behavioral health prevention system
  • Tracks and reviews all data for project performance measures
  • Supervises staff and coordinates operations across the State
  • Completes all required project reporting and supports other community-based services projects as needed
  • Job may require the employee to be able to regularly drive to various DCCCA locations and other business locations throughout the day including early morning or evening hours

Supervisory Functions

  • Reads, interprets, and applies governance, operational, and department/program policies appropriately.
  • Adheres to and supports all governance, operational, and department/program policies.
  • Conducts interviews and assists with selection of new employees, in coordination with Human Resources.
  • Oversees the onboarding of new hires and ensures adequate on-the-job training is provided, including training on program policy, procedure, expectations, and applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Utilizes and supports appropriate retention strategies.
  • Assists in agency recruitment efforts by referring and recruiting applicants to the agency.
  • Strives to build a strong sense of team within the department and implements trauma-informed care supervision practices as appropriate.
  • Ensures frontline staff are provided with appropriate support.
  • Holds regular one-on-ones with employees, in accordance with policy.
  • Provides direct supervision to assigned staff individually and as a group, at regular and appropriate intervals.
  • Effectively trains, coaches, develops, shadows, evaluates, disciplines, and terminates employees, with the goal of building and retaining a strong team.
  • Evaluates employee performance utilizing the agency's performance management system
  • Maintains regular contact with supervisor
  • Engages in ongoing professional development and training.
  • Approves timesheets and expenses for employees, ensuring reimbursements follow policy standards, such as receipts being included.
  • Represents DCCCA at events, presentations, and both internal and external meetings.
  • Maintains good working relationships and facilitates productive and positive communication among factions.
  • Maintains confidentiality using sound professional judgement.
  • Creates a safe environment by performing all required security and safety procedures.
  • Upholds a Drug Free Work Place, supporting a safe and drug free environment conducive to enabling and strengthening ongoing recovery.

Education, Experience, And Licensure

  • Bachelor's degree or a minimum of ten years of relevant prevention experience/knowledge required
  • Community organization and facilitation experience required
  • Requires training and experience in behavioral health prevention
  • Ability to interact with diverse groups
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Must possess a valid state Driver's License, in force automobile liability insurance, and maintain a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets organization's insurability standard as defined by DCCCA policy. Availability of reliable transportation is required for this position.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Effective listening, oral, and written communication skills, including face-to-face, on-site, in person discussions. Exercises appropriate use of positive language.
  • Regular and predictable on-site attendance.
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft suite of products including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to efficiently operate other office equipment such as telephones, voicemail systems, copy and fax machines, and scanners.

Travel

This position requires travel, which may include driving personal or company-owned vehicles. It may also include driving with other passengers in the vehicle, and/or driving as a passenger with other drivers. Note: Even with a valid driver's license, certain motor vehicle infractions may render individual's ineligible to drive company-owned or personal vehicles for company business. Such infractions may also disqualify employees from continued employment with DCCCA, Inc. This position is considered to be a safety-sensitive position.
