- Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Motivate and inspire the team to achieve sales targets and exceed customer expectations.
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback.
- Ensure adherence to the dealership's sales process and best practices.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance data to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement strategies to enhance sales effectiveness and efficiency.
- Foster a customer-centric, hospitality-based culture within the sales department.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally.
- Ensure that customers have a positive and memorable experience throughout the sales process.
- Collaborate with the purchasing department to maintain adequate inventory levels.
- Manage vehicle turn rates and minimize stock obsolescence.
- Monitor and analyze the department's financial performance.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase profitability.
- Manage expenses within budget.
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
- Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and dealership policies.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Demonstrates a high "HQ" (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness & optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity.
- 3+ years of experience as an Automotive Sales Manager or 5+ years in an F&I or Floor Manager role.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and exceeding customer expectations.
- Strong knowledge of the automotive industry and sales processes.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
