Description

At mhp.si, we help people make life’s biggest decisions—whether it’s where to go to school, which doctor to trust, or how to build a future for their family. These moments deserve marketing that is intelligent, intense, and impactful. That’s what drives us, and that’s what we expect from every member of our team.

The Associate Creative Director (ACD) is a natural evolution for writers and storytellers ready to step into leadership while still keeping their hands on the work. As an ACD, you’ll lead copywriters and designers on projects, ensuring ideas are fresh, strategically sound, and executed with excellence. You’ll supervise and mentor writers, guide creative development from concept to production, and collaborate closely with art directors, strategists, and account managers.

This role is about balancing craft and leadership. You’ll continue writing and concepting at a high level, but you’ll also take on responsibility for shaping creative direction, managing workflows, and elevating the work of others. The ACD is the right hand to the Creative Director and a vital voice in the room when ideas are presented and decisions are made.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead creative development on assigned projects, from concept through execution
  • Supervise and mentor copywriters, providing feedback and guidance to strengthen their work and skills
  • Partner with designers to ensure copy and design come together seamlessly
  • Write and concept across formats—campaign platforms, scripts, headlines, websites, social content, and more
  • Collaborate with account managers and strategists to ensure creative ideas align with client goals and brand strategy
  • Present creative work to clients with confidence and clarity, explaining both the idea and its strategic foundation
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines, ensuring deliverables meet agency standards for creativity and accuracy
  • Support new business pitches with ideas, copy, and presentations that inspire and persuade

What You Bring

  • 4–6 years of agency experience in copywriting or a related creative role
  • A portfolio that demonstrates conceptual thinking, strong writing, and collaboration with design partners
  • Experience mentoring writers, with a desire to grow as a leader
  • Ability to balance hands-on creative work with project and team leadership
  • Strong presentation skills and comfort in client-facing situations
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple assignments without sacrificing quality
  • A collaborative spirit and openness to feedback, with the ability to coach others constructively
  • Passion for storytelling, marketing strategy, and producing work that drives results

Why You’ll Love It Here

mhp.si is a full-service agency with all the tools and talent under one roof—strategy, technology, analytics, design, media, and creative. That means you’ll never work in a silo, and you’ll always have collaborators who push your thinking and elevate your work.

Our culture is anchored in three values: intelligence (we dive deep into strategy and audience insights), intensity (we bring energy and urgency to every challenge), and impact (we measure our success by the results we deliver).

As an Associate Creative Director, you’ll gain the opportunity to expand your leadership skills, work on campaigns that influence major life decisions, and prepare yourself for future creative leadership roles. You’ll have the best of both worlds: the chance to keep creating while guiding the next generation of creative talent.

If you’re ready to grow as a leader, inspire others, and make work that matters, this is your step forward.
