The Opportunity

As the Assistant Marketing Manager (AMM), you will be supporting and reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager (SMM), Brand Marketing. You will be responsible for assisting the Brand Marketing team in developing marketing campaigns, helping to manage brand relationships and overall marketing support for 15-25 makeup brands at Sephora.

You will be working with many cross-functional teams, internal departments, as well as external brands. As such, this position requires a high level of initiative, incredible people skills, clear communication and follow through, attention to detail, sense of humor, positive attitude, ability to think / trouble shoot quickly, plus understanding of marketing strategy and our brands’ business objectives and positionings. Duties And Responsibilities

  • Support Senior Marketing Manager in execution and follow-through of all marketing and sampling plans of 15+ brands simultaneously.
  • Communicate regularly with brands and retail merchant counterparts on business related issues (e.g., launch plans, business updates, etc.)
  • Follow up with brands on assets, product details, social media assets, 360 plan participation, brand calendar activation details, and any miscellaneous questions or issues that might arise from an executional standpoint
  • Assist in sourcing and managing sampling plans by brand.
  • Assist SMM in developing 360 marketing plans for A launches and manage brand calendars
  • Attend all brand facing meetings, capture meeting notes and next steps, and lead follow-ups with brands and cross-functional teams
  • Develop social strategy for brand partners, including creative feedback.
  • Working under approved strategy, the AMM will help develop internal launch briefs in partnership with internal cross-functional teams.
  • Support SMM in development and execution of all 360 campaigns in partnership with internal cross-functional teams
  • Work closely with Dotcom Merchant partners on digital executions of 360 plans

Additional Marketing Support

  • Managing brand calendars and 360 plans for A+ launched
  • Routing and reviewing creative / feedback / assets
  • Writing and distributing recap notes
  • Assist SMM in developing Brand Reporting, including client insights and sampling follow-on

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 2 - 4 years of agency or marketing experience in a fast-paced work environment
  • Digital/social media experience required
  • Strategic thinker who can quickly adjust approach and priorities on a day-to-day basis
  • Strong interpersonal skills, approachable, positive and flexible. Ability to work collaboratively and proactively with internal and external parties
  • Self-starter, high degree of initiative and independence – not afraid to ask questions, take constructive feedback, lead new projects and “roll up your sleeves” for any task at hand
  • Critical attention to detail
  • Proficient in: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint), Box

The annual base salary range for this position is $86,955.00 - $97,185.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
