The Architectural Illustrator is a visionary and inventive professional responsible for producing high-quality, photorealistic architectural illustrations and immersive 3D experiences. Using tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, Lumion, and Photoshop, this role transforms conceptual designs into compelling visual narratives. Final models are rendered in Lumion to create cinematic presentations with music, which are then published to YouTube for ownership review. This position requires a deep understanding of architectural design and construction processes, as well as the ability to interpret sketches, photos, markups, and prints provided by the Design & Development team.

Essential Functions:

  • Execute detailed architectural illustrations and 3D renderings using Revit, CAD, Lumion, and Photoshop.
  • Create realistic visualizations and cinematic movies that communicate design intent and inspire stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Design & Development team to interpret and visualize concepts from various input formats.
  • Utilize department resources including files, materials, signage, and equipment to enhance visual accuracy.
  • Prepare models for 3D printing when applicable to support physical visualization.
  • Upload final movies to YouTube and ensure presentation quality meets ownership expectations.
  • Maintain organized workflows and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Design, Visualization, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience: 3+ years in architectural illustration, visualization, or related design field.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, SketchUp, Microsoft Office Suite, and Revit (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of architectural design principles, construction processes, and visual storytelling.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and produce meaningful architectural drawings.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to work extended hours when needed to meet project deadlines.
  • Visionary thinker with a creative and inventive mindset.
  • Experience with 3D printing and familiarity with cinematic rendering techniques is a plus.
