Summary
The Application Analyst II operates under moderate supervision of IT Leadership to provide primary support for assigned software applications. This role involves configuring, testing, and maintaining software applications with a focus on optimizing workflows, data collection, and system integrity. The Analyst acts as a liaison between end users, third-party stakeholders, and the application implementation and support teams. Additionally, the Analyst brings subject matter expertise to enhance application modules' functionality and collaborates with diverse departments to ensure efficient system usage. They function as the primary point of contact for application support, ensuring timely issue resolution and effective communication while upholding adherence to MyMichigan Health's policies, procedures, and business operations. Primary responsibilities include conducting comprehensive analyses of workflows, system configurations, reporting specifics, and software testing. They proactively identify opportunities to optimize and enhance the application systems by independently suggesting improved workflows, increased efficiency, and enhanced user experience with consideration for best practices. Application Analyst II's have an in-depth knowledge of the application and the various modules in the areas they support. They configure, test, and maintain all system functionality to meet the needs of end-users.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(25%)* Uses a strong understanding of business systems and industry requirements to work with business owners and users to document requirements and workflows. Design and maintain content and key system controls (codes tables, master files, user’s interfaces etc.).
(25%)* Trouble shoots problems and incidents. Recommends innovative solutions.
(10%)* Plans, executes, and documents supporting evidence of application testing.
(15%)* Collects information regarding potential system enhancement needs and analyzes new functionality
in releases to determine how it should be used.
(15%)* Analyzes application capabilities to optimize its use within workflows.
(5%)* Assists in cross training team members and users.
(5%)* Participates in additional projects including software updates and changes.
Other Duties And Responsibilities
Exhibit a commitment to exceptional customer service while providing Go-Live or Daily end user support and training of Applications.
Using an in-depth knowledge of the application systems analysts continually configure, test, and maintain system functionality to meet the needs of end-users in their areas of support.
Holds responsibility to complete complex build and configuration tasks and resolves advanced issues as they arise with minimal support from Senior Analyst and Vendors.
Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, changes, and support activities.
Creates knowledge-based support articles to clearly document resolutions and uses these documents to educate others on resolutions.
Supports multiple applications, including design, build, testing, training, and troubleshooting with minimal guidance.
Performs build tasks following best practices with the minimal support.
Manage medium-size requests from inception to completion with minimal support.
Manage plans and timelines, coordinate resources within IT, and ensure that requests are delivered within scope and time.
Coordinate and lead discussions with multidisciplinary groups, manage priorities, resolve conflicts, maintain a comprehensive issues list, and maintain project tasks.
Effectively communicates statuses with leadership and subject matter experts.
Communicates all application changes, enhancements, and procedures to all relevant stakeholders of impacted areas.
Execute system updates and changes in accordance to IT incident and change policies and procedures.
Including documentation of process, testing, and approvals.
Provide guidance and support to less experienced analysts through sharing their knowledge and expertise.
Participates in an on-call support rotation to address organizational urgent needs.
Travel between MyMichigan and affiliated Locations may be required to support applications and go-live implementations.

Able to wear personal protective equipment that includes latex materials or appropriate substitute if required for your position. Is able to move freely about facility with or without an assisted device and must be able to perform the functions of the job as outlined in the job description. Overall vision and hearing is necessary with or without assisted device(s). Frequently required to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time. May require frequent postural changes such as stooping, kneeling or crouching. Some exposure to blood borne pathogens and other potentially infectious material. Must follow MyMichigan Health bloodborne pathogen and TB testing as required. Ability to handle multiple tasks, get along with others, work independently, regular and predictable attendance and ability to stay awake. Overall dexterity is required including handling, reaching, grasping, fingering and feeling. May require repetition of these movements on a regular to frequent basis.
