Position Summary
The Accounts Payable Specialist, Logistics provides financial, administrative, and clerical support by ensuring payments are completed and expenses are controlled by receiving payments, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices according to established policies and procedures in an efficient, timely and accurate manner for the Logistics Team.

Position Summary
The Accounts Payable Specialist, Logistics provides financial, administrative, and clerical support by ensuring payments are completed and expenses are controlled by receiving payments, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices according to established policies and procedures in an efficient, timely and accurate manner for the Logistics Team.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma is the minimum requirement. Associates Degree in accounting or finance preferred.
- At least two (2) years of relevant experience required.
- Intermediate knowledge of Accounting and Business ERP software systems plus Microsoft applications including Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Word, Excel (proficient with Pivot tables, Formulas and V-lookups) as well as navigating through the Internet.
- Manufacturing, Supply chain or 3PL environment experience is preferred.
- Experience in Microsoft Dynamics BC or NAV
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Performs various accounts payable functions, including but not limited to:
- Receive, process and vouchering vendor invoices daily in ERP system, 3 way-match to purchase order and receipts.
- Process Payments timely (ACH, Transfer, Auto Pays & Checks).
- Process off-cycle vendor payments.
- Reconcile the payment journal to the payment proposal file prior to cutting checks.
- Ensure proper sales & use tax is recorded & paid as required.
- Respond timely to vendor emails or requests and maintain vendor relationship and integrity.
- Maintain accurate vendor information in the ERP system, including the vendor statement reconciliation to the subledger.
- Assist with 1099 process and completion of tax exemption certificates.
- Assist in month end closing, including but not limited to:
- Accounts payable accruals; including reconciliation to the general ledger.
- Participate in completion of the year-end processes including periodic external audits.
- Provide accurate AP information in a timely manner as requested.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation, electronic and physical, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
- Check mail daily, distribute according to established procedure.
- Other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
- While performing the duties of this Job, the team member is regularly required to talk and hear.
- The team member is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, walk up and down stairs and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
