Job Description

Brookfield, a global leader in alternative asset management, is looking to hire a Logistics Investments Analyst in its Chicago or Dallas office. Brookfield’s logistics portfolio in North America consists of nearly 80M square feet of industrial space in 30 markets.

The Logistics Investment Analyst’s primary role will be to underwrite and transact on new Logistics property/portfolio investments (both acquisitions and developments) across the U.S. for Brookfield’s various investment vehicles. Successful candidates will be intelligent and curious young professionals with demonstrated interest in commercial real estate and a track record of successful collaboration in team settings.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Create financial models that generate projected investment cash flows and returns, to be presented to senior deal team members and used for formulating investment recommendations.
  • Prepare presentation materials for the investment committee.
  • In-depth due diligence of prospective investment opportunities (lease review, financial diligence, building diligence, etc.)
  • Perform financial analysis, and other economic analysis, for review by senior management.
  • Continually stay up to date with market trends, pricing, and competition (acquisitions, dispositions, developments, leasing).
  • Collaboration with the broader Brookfield real estate platform on new business and value creation opportunities (diversified portfolios, corporate opportunities, mixed use investments, regional teams across the US / other global offices).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Candidate Profile:

  • 0-1 year of experience in Real Estate Acquisitions/Financing/Operations, Investment Banking, or Investment Sales. Absent professional experience, education in financial modeling and real estate preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
  • Expert proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Experience using Argus Enterprise and proficiency in analyzing rent rolls and leases preferred.
  • Strong desire to develop investment acumen.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team setting, confident sharing ideas and suggestions.
  • Ability to multi-task with good time management to meet multiple deadlines

Salary Range: $85,000 – $90,000

Our compensation structure is comprised of a base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensation tends to vary based on geography to account for local market conditions and is set to be market competitive. Compensation decisions are based on a number of factors including relative experience, overall years of experience, industry experience, education and designations.
