Overview
Job Description
Reports to the Systems Application Manager. The Applications Analyst I must have a clear understanding of systems functionality and/or departmental processes as they relate to the supported system/application(s). Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills are required for interpreting and distributing documentation related to systems/application functionality, upgrades and enhancements. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering systems limitations. May be responsible for assisting with projects. Must be able to work both independently and as a team member in a solution-oriented, customer-focused environment.
Qualifications
Required Education: High School Diploma or GED Preferred Education: Degree in an applicable field (Business Administration, Allied Health, Computer Science, etc.). Necessary Skills: 1. Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely. 2. Must have excellent interpersonal skills. 3. Must have basic understanding/experience relative to PC's. Required Experience: One to three (1-3) years of experience in an applicable healthcare or technical field. Working knowledge of information technology processes. Preferred Experience: N/A Required Licensure/Certifications: If Analyst is hired into a role which supports an Epic application, effective October 1, 2012: EPIC certification is required within 6 months of date of hire/transfer into position, or within three attempts at passing the exam. New version training (NVT) is required every time a new Epic version is release and must be maintained. Periodic re-certification is required by Epic every 3-5 years/version releases; NVT and/or re-certification are required for analyst to maintain their certification and to maintain position within IT. Preferred Licensure/Certifications: Technical certification(s) Age of Patients Served: N/A

- Supports a highly diverse set of systems in the following areas:
- Secure Messaging
- Call Center Software
- Nurse Call
- Building Automation
- Security
- Real Time Locationing System (RTLS)
- Comfortable working on both projects and in an on-going support environment.
