The Customer Care Specialist is responsible for the daily execution and delivery of an exceptional customer experience, leading to consistent customer excellence and satisfaction. Through regular and frequent direct interaction with our customers, the Customer Care Specialist will develop a clear understanding of customer requirements, expectations, and business developments.
This role operates within a unionized environment, which means adherence to collective bargaining agreements and established work rules is essential. The Customer Care Specialist must maintain positive and professional interactions not only with customers but also with union representatives and colleagues, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations while fostering collaboration

How you create impact
- Ownership of shipment, drive the most efficient way of file handling and availability of customer data and requirements, in order for stakeholder teams to deliver according to customer expectations.
- Ensure regulatory and compliance adherence.
- Ensure consistent shipment monitoring and pro-active customer communication, whilst effectively handling and responding to customer feedback, complaints and escalations, and ensure swift corrective actions.
- Ensure awareness of customer facing digital solutions and encourage usage by our customers.
- When assigned to customer implementations, as either support or lead, bring active involvement and ensure participation by relevant departmental teams, as required.
- Manage and develop customer growth and stay on top of customer retention.
- Drive maximization of profitability with a high focus on spot quotation execution and fast response time, and by upselling and promoting Kuehne+Nagel products.
- Monitor on-going GP analysis and liaise with stakeholders responsible for procurement.
- Participate in trainings, as needed, for up-to-date knowledge.
- 2+ years of work experience within a customer service or customer-facing environment.
- Freight Forwarding industry experience, processes and regulation knowledge preferred, not required.
- Commercially-driven and customer-first mindset.
- Communication, problem and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to foster cross-team alignment.
- Ability to adapt to changes in a dynamic environment.
