We are seeking a talented Research Scientist to join our innovative AI research team, focusing on Agent Research and Large Language Models (LLMs). This role combines cutting-edge research with practical applications, working to advance the field of AI while making enterprise AI more accessible and reliable. We are seeking a talented Research Scientist to join our innovative AI research team, focusing on Agent Research and Large Language Models (LLMs). This role combines cutting-edge research with practical applications, working to advance the field of AI while making enterprise AI more accessible and reliable. You will be part of a team dedicated to conducting open, foundational research that pushes the boundaries of what's possible in AI technology.
IN THIS ROLE AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL:
- Design and pursue research initiatives focused on identifying and improving model weaknesses
- Develop and implement robust evaluation frameworks for tracking model improvements
- Contribute to scientific literature and conferences in the field of AI
- Design, implement, and debug code across our research stack
- Coordinate interdepartmental research efforts and activities
- Investigate the feasibility of applying scientific principles to potential innovations
- Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field
- Strong background in Large Language Models and Agent Research
- Experience with implementing and debugging complex ML systems
- Proven track record of research contributions and publications
- Ability to think from first principles and approach problems without bias
- Strong evaluation and experimental design skills

- The estimated base salary range for this role is $160,000 - $230,000
- Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake’s bonus and equity plan.
