Summary

The Aftermarket Pricing Analyst will have a unique opportunity to support the growth of a $200mm+ aftermarket business inside a global manufacturing organization with plants and offices located across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. This strategic role will report to the Corporate FP&A Manager and will help drive high visibility value creation activities with exposure to the executive team. SHAPE Technologies designs and manufactures waterjet cutting machines, ultrahigh pressure pumps, and large robotics and automation systems.

This cross-functional role will be responsible for analyzing and providing guidance to business unit leaders on pricing levels, discount structures, and launching pilot programs for special promotions across multiple business units. The Aftermarket Pricing Analyst will work closely with business unit leaders, finance teams, and sales/marketing to balance revenue growth, margin optimization, and customer satisfaction, while providing recommendations to address potential channel conflicts effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and manage tools and dashboards to track pricing effectiveness, revenue trends, and customer behavior insights.
  • Evaluate the financial impact of pricing and discounting strategies, develop KPIs and dashboards, and provide regular reporting on revenue, margin, and volume performance.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and customer feedback to recommend strategic adjustments.
  • Collaborate with business unit leaders on pricing strategies, including recommendations on list pricing levels, discount structures, bundling strategies, tiered pricing, and customer segmentation.
  • Coordinate with corporate leadership to ensure pricing strategies are aligned to enterprise-wide financial objectives. Provide recommendations on resolving channel conflicts where applicable.
  • Design and help manage pilot programs for targeted promotions involving specific customers, regions, or product categories, ensuring measurable outcomes.
  • Conduct regular cost analysis of manufacturing inputs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead, to ensure pricing accuracy.
  • Review and manage customer-specific pricing agreements and volume-based discount structures.
  • Monitor parts pricing and usage patterns to identify opportunities for margin improvement and inventory optimization.
  • Keep initiatives on track to meet planned timelines and budgets

Occasional travel to support global operations and stakeholder engagement

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in pricing analysis, preferably in manufacturing sector. Experience in capital equipment industry and/or multi-business unit organizations a plus

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in financial modeling and data-driven decision-making.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (Planful, Microsoft Dynamics AX, QAD)
  • In-depth knowledge of BI tools (Tableau) and practical experience analyzing large datasets, program metrics, and performance to derive actionable insights
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Work cross-functionally throughout the organization to drive analysis-driven change
  • Strategic thinker with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Physical Requirements

  • Primarily office-based work with occasional travel to business units, customer sites, or industry events.
