HOPE Program
New Beginnings Counseling Centers specializes in forensic therapies, treating people convicted of domestic violence, child abuse/endangerment, sex offences, anger management, and other crimes. We have offices in Chico, Redding, Red Bluff, Oroville, Orland, Willows, Marysville, and Auburn. Our clinical staff of licensed therapists and registered associates are dedicated to helping our clients build healthy lives by developing communication and life skills in processing difficult experiences and fostering personal growth. We focus on evidence-based practices and interventions to assist our clients’ individual needs.
We are currently seeking qualified Adult Educators to fill a position within our Orland office with occasional travel within Butte and Glenn County. Individual and group supervision are provided for unlicensed clinicians. Positions start Tuesday-Saturday, depending on the needs of the agency.
Positions with New Beginnings are interesting, challenging, and offer the opportunity for supported professional growth in forensic therapy modalities. Our clinical team members have the opportunity to develop the skills necessary to become experienced clinicians in assessment, documentation, and treatment in forensic therapy. As a member of a team, our clinicians work with both voluntary and mandated clients individually, in groups, and with collateral family members. There is potential for long-term growth in the agency and career development. All services are provided in an office environment. Responsibilities:
Teaching classes of up to 12 clients, who are court-ordered to participate in classes.
Class topics include communication, life skills, personal responsibility, and accountability.

Work on site in the offices where New Beginnings Counseling Centers, Inc. normally
conducts business with a willingness to travel to other New Beginnings sites; provides counseling within the scope of your education, training, experience, and supervision; teach the curriculum provided and engages clients in discussions about weekly topics; informs supervisor and clinical director immediately of crisis issues, such as but not limited to: Suspicions of child or elder abuse, Potential suicides, Hospitalization, Tarasoff situation, and at-risk clients on probation and parole; Documenting crisis facts carefully and completely in chart notes and reviewing with Clinical Director as needed; Maintain all paperwork in the client’s file in New Beginnings' electronic health record; Attend weekly employee supervision sessions and perform administrative tasks relevant to this position as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree completed in Psychology, Sociology, Education, Political Science, Communication, or similar degree (required);
LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW licensure tracks (preferred);
The ability to work collaboratively as a member of a clinical team as well as independently.
Be a self-starter and self-motivated as well as detail-oriented;
Meet all documentation deadlines;
Effective communication, interpersonal, problem-solving skills, decision-making making and financial analysis skills
Honesty, integrity and good professional boundaries;
A valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation; and
Must be able to obtain a passed TB Test, and pass a live-scan background check
