Hospice of Marion County, a part of Empath Health, is seeking a dynamic and clinically skilled Admission Education Specialist

What You'll Do

  • Train, coach, and support Admissions and Business Development team members throughout the hospice admissions process.
  • Ensure new and transitioning staff develop competency, confidence, and clinical excellence when initiating patient care.
  • Design and deliver individualized onboarding and education plans using adult learning principles.
  • Serve as a clinical and EMR resource, providing bedside teaching, documentation guidance, and real-time problem solving.
  • Collaborate with Organizational Development, leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure regulatory compliance and high-quality admissions education.

What You'll Need

  • Licensure: Registered Nurse or other Health Care Discipline required
  • Education and/or Experience: Health Care, clinically focused bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory/management role, clinical preceptor, manager or mentor in a hospice setting preferred – OR – an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Strong and current nursing clinical skills required.
  • Expertise in home health, case management, hospice/palliative care, eligibility for services, pain and symptom management
  • Computer expertise and EMR documentation expertise, including an understanding of critical thinking and care planning processes.
