We are hiring a Hybrid Admissions Coordinator / AR II Support to manage the full admissions process from pre-admission through arrival, ensuring all approvals, documentation, and care equipment are ready for new residents. This role also provides support to the AR2 position and requires strong communication with facility staff, the interdisciplinary team, medical providers, and the community to ensure smooth, seamless transitions for every resident.

                    We are hiring a Hybrid Admissions Coordinator / AR II Support to manage the full admissions process from pre-admission through arrival, ensuring all approvals, documentation, and care equipment are ready for new residents. This role also provides support to the AR2 position and requires strong communication with facility staff, the interdisciplinary team, medical providers, and the community to ensure smooth, seamless transitions for every resident.
Admissions Coordinator/ AR II Assistant responsibilities including:
- Maintains the daily census system to be accurate within the last 24 hours. Maintains a current roster of residents by room per state and federal requirements.
- Maintains a professional appearance and approach to all interactions in person or by phone.
- Provides current information on all pending and scheduled admissions to appropriate departments.
- Works closely with the nursing department and the central supply staff to ensure all necessary care equipment is available for new residents prior to arrival.
- Obtains necessary insurance approvals for all extraordinary care needs prior to resident arriving.
- Communicates effectively with facility staff, community, and medical providers.
- Provides the resident with welcome and basic information. Provides all necessary documentation from referring source to nursing and Business Office Manager to initiate care and accounting process.
- Coordinates the admission process from pre-admission through admission.
- Provides support to the Admissions Director, assisting with inquiries, tours and admission paperwork. Participates in marketing as directed.
- Provides current information on all pending and scheduled admissions to appropriate departments.
- Makes collection calls for all payer classes following timely review of accounts receivable aging.
- Works closely with collection agency and /or attorney to ensure timely collection of outstanding accounts.
- Gathers appropriate information regarding the bad debts process.
- Assists Business Office Manager in cash deposits and census, with PNA duties, MCD applications, resident and family visits, and the month-end process.
- Assist with residents’ Personal Needs Account (PNA), including bank deposits, and special projects or audits. 
- Monday - Friday with occational weekends.
- Forty hours (40) per week
- 9:30AM to 6:00PM 
- Has worked in a medical/health care setting. Skilled nursing and LTC experience a plus!
- High school diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Experience with EMR, specifically Point Click Care/PCC.
- The ability to read, write and speak English. Knowledge of other languages helpful.
- Strong organizational skills; Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to function independently and strong leadership.
