Schedule: 8a - 4:30p / Prefer candidates with experience in EPIC and front desk operations

Summary

Under general supervision, the Administrative Specialist will coordinate appointments in the NC Cancer Hospital via our various clinics and the standard established processes. Daily activity includes coordination and overseeing complex scheduling, maintaining daily reports, participates in projects and operation support, assist with development of departmental and program standards, and providing professional assistance to physicians, nursing, clinics, and management staff

Responsibilities

  • Float as needed within the Oncology Administrative departments per operational needs.
  • Cross-train and cross coverage with other disease groups as needed.
  • Complex coordination of appointments.
  • Maintain work queues scheduling requests for various disease groups.
  • Answer incoming calls and return calls from voicemail.
  • Participate in department quality improvement activities.
  • Attend daily huddles and monthly staff meetings.

  • High School diploma or GED

Licensure/Certification Requirements

  • No licensure or certification required.

Professional Experience Requirements

  • Two (2) years of clerical or administrative experience
  • If Bachelor's degree, no years of clerical or administrative experience
  • If Associate's degree, one (1) year of clerical or administrative experience
