Responsibilities

The Administrative Assistant supports UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital's administration needs and is the initial contact for phone calls and patients/visitors and team members entering administration. Supports the Administrative Director of Nursing with administrative duties and special projects. Serves as general reception for UF Health The Villages Administration. Coordinates the flow of information in and out of the office.

Qualifications

Education

Associates Degree Preferred

Post High School Special Training

High School Diploma/GED

Licensure/Certification/Registration

Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required

Two to three years secretarial experience in a secretarial position or business related formal training Computer skills including: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HBOC, Internet. Minimum 60 WPM keyboarding

Must be able to maintain a professional and pleasant attitude at all times when dealing with board members, medical staff, and the public.

Ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects, and be an independent thinker. Detailed oriented.

Excellent organizational skills, customer service skills, verbal and written skills

Must be able to do light lifting

Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
