The Department of Revenue's (DOR) Hearings Division consists of professionals, working in a collaborative and fast paced environment, that provide fair and efficient administrative hearings for the department and its constituent divisions. These hearings resolve matters involving various DOR regulatory divisions and steer privilege cases brought by the Division of Motor Vehicles.

Duties
We're seeking an Administrative Assistant that will not only answer telephone and email inquiries but will process requests that adhere to statutory guidelines and make relevant determinations regarding those requests. Moreover, this position coordinates information with law enforcement agencies, attorneys, respondents and members of the public. This work is performed remotely via electronic means, on the phone, though email, zoom and Google Meet and by using internal computer systems such as DRIVES and Google Suite. On occasion, this work may be performed in person. Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:

Minimum Qualifications
Experience Only:
Three (3) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position
OR
Education And Experience
A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to three (3) years

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

As a condition of employment with the CDOR, all personnel must file all necessary Colorado Individual Income Tax (CIIT) returns and pay tax obligations, therefore all employees must undergo a pre-employment evaluation of their tax records/accounts to ensure compliance with this policy. Final candidates must also complete a successful background investigation and reference check prior to appointment. Certain positions based on duties may require scheduled background investigations .

- performing scheduling and administrative functions for the Hearing Officers via zoom
- providing notifications of hearing dates and times
- processing written requests
- processing incoming and outgoing mail
- accessing information and records and clarifies department actions for customers with questions related to hearings and other departmental actions
- collecting relevant data for consideration at scheduled hearings and determines the appropriate course of action
- providing customer service through phone, email, zoom, U.S. mail and other electronic means
- special projects as assigned
