Administrative Assistant

Are you an organized, people-oriented administrative professional looking to make a meaningful impact in mental health services? We’re seeking a dependable Administrative Assistant to support multiple outpatient programs at our Amherst, NY location. This is a full-time role (40 hours/week) working directly with our Community Services Mental Health Programs team.

Who You Will Be Working With

The NY government agency that oversees mental health services, sets policies, regulates providers, and supports programs to promote the well-being of individuals with mental illness in New York State.

Major Duties

• Serve as the first point of contact for calls and messages.
• Manage mail and distribute communications.
• Maintain client and administrative records.
• Assist with scheduling, referrals, and appointment reminders.
• Support projects, events, and promotional material creation.
• Track inventory and prepare purchase requests.
• Facilitate clinic registration and satisfaction surveys.

• One or more years of relevant clerical/administrative work experience.

Exciting Opportunity Details

• Hourly Rate: $22.00/hour.
• Length of Engagement: Through March 31, 2026, with longer-term permanent placement potential.
• Monday & Thursday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM.
• Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
• Free parking provided.
• No holiday, travel, or overtime work required.
• Initial 1-week orientation at West Seneca facility.
• Follow-up site-specific onboarding in Amherst.
• Both in-person and computer-based training provided.
• Must pass NYS Child Abuse Registry clearance.
• Must pass NYS Justice Center Staff Exclusion List review.
