Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance, counsel, and active support to Branch Management and employees regarding implementation of Accounting and Administrative policies
  • Communicate with new vendors and our Legal department to finalize service contract/agreements and maintain Subcontractor database
  • Manage monthly closing for Houston office and reporting results to Branch Management
  • Oversee Accounts Payable, Account Receivable, and Reconciliation of each account code balance
  • Manage Fixed Assets purchase and disposal; report to Head Office
  • Manage/coordinate the staffing process for the Branch, including HR-01’s, recruiting, selection, hiring, orientation, and on-boarding
  • Assist with DOT compliance, utilizing JJ Keller’s Encompass system.
  • Assess training, development needs, and handle Quality Management for the HOU Branch
  • Manage employee relations for ensuring consistent, equal, and fair treatment
  • Escalate to Branch Management or Regional HR all employee relations issues which require intervention
  • Ensure compliance with Employment Laws and Policy/Program compliance
  • Finalize Payroll and timesheets

Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years administration experience, 3-5 years accounting experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent related experience
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office software products
  • High level of confidentiality required
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance (DOT, TSA, OSHA, etc.)
  • Excellent communication in English
  • Word, Excel, Power Point skills
  • Knowledge of SAP is a plus
