What You’ll Do (and Love Doing!)
- Lead and inspire our accounting team, guiding them in financial reporting, billing, collections, payroll, and budget preparation.
- Recruit, hire, and mentor talented accounting professionals—helping them grow right along with you.
- Build and improve processes with solid internal controls and smart financial strategies.
- Oversee financial reports and ensure accuracy in compliance with GAAP and industry standards.
- Drive tax planning strategies throughout the year (so there are no surprises).
- Partner with outside auditors and lead smooth, successful audit processes.
- Provide insights and recommendations to leadership on how to fuel growth and strengthen the company’s future.
- Deliver impactful financial analysis, especially around investments and big-picture opportunities.
- Keep us compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations (because you’re that good).
- Be a culture-builder—creating a positive, collaborative environment where people love to work.
- You’re a natural leader with excellent management and supervisory skills.
- Communication is your superpower—you’re clear, confident, and approachable.
- You’re highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- You’re tech-savvy, with skills in NetSuite and Microsoft Office Suite.
- You bring sharp financial analysis skills and a strategic mindset to every project.
- This is an in-person office position. Candidates must live in or be willing to relocate to Amarillo, TX, or within a 30-mile radius.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required, relevant work experience will also be considered.
- At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with 2+ years leading a team.
