The Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the entire accounts receivable function. This role ensures efficient invoicing, collections, and reconciliation of customer accounts while maintaining strong internal controls and compliance with company policies and financial regulations. The Manager will lead process improvements, optimize cash flow, manage customer relationships, and support financial reporting activities.

The Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the entire accounts receivable function. This role ensures efficient invoicing, collections, and reconciliation of customer accounts while maintaining strong internal controls and compliance with company policies and financial regulations. The Manager will lead process improvements, optimize cash flow, manage customer relationships, and support financial reporting activities.
What You Have
- Lead and manage the accounts receivable team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
- Oversee and optimize the accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures for invoicing, collections, and credit management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, financial regulations, and internal controls.
- Review and approve high-value transactions, customer invoices, and reconciliations.
- Monitor and manage customer accounts, resolving disputes and discrepancies efficiently.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including revenue recognition and financial reporting.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and cash flow.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and finance, to streamline workflows.
- Stay updated on best practices, industry trends, and regulatory changes impacting accounts receivable.
- Working knowledge of accounting processes and practices
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook
- Working knowledge of financial databases and systems
- Working knowledge of financial statements and reports
- Demonstrated supervisory, management and leadership skills
- Demonstrated planning and organization skills
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Ability to make and influence decisions
- Ability to interact with all levels of the organization
- Ability to be detail-oriented and obtain a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and multi-task with minimal supervision
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- 8+ years’ experience in accounting
- 1-3 years’ experience supervising team members
- Preferred (not required): license as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
