Virtual Reading Specialist, Unbound Academy (Remote) - $60,000/year USD
Crossover
Date: 8 hours ago
City: Peoria, AZ
Salary:
$30
per hour
Contract type: Full time
Remote
You recognize the shift. The instant a student transitions from guessing to reading with purpose. They meet your eyes and declare, "I can do this." If that's the experience you seek in your daily work, this role will resonate.
Unbound is a remote-first online school designed for authentic progress, not compliance with seat time. We're reconstructing the learning model so students advance more quickly, engage meaningfully, and graduate with measurable confidence.
In most weeks, you'll facilitate high-impact intervention sessions. In others, you'll conduct brief motivation check-ins that maintain student momentum and goal achievement. This position fits individuals who value autonomy, immediate feedback cycles, and visible results. It's unsuitable for anyone seeking rigid lesson plans or avoiding data-driven practice.
If you're committed to helping struggling readers achieve substantial progress—and you value the flexibility to customize your methods for each learner—we invite you to connect.
What You Will Be Doing
Take ownership of outcomes for grades 3–8—quantifiable improvements in fluency and comprehension—through personalized virtual interventions and motivational support that cultivates confidence.
Basic Requirements
Unbound Academy is Arizona’s first virtual, tuition-free charter school, designed to make grades 4-8 limitless, personal, and exciting. This isn’t just an alternative to the traditional school system. It’s a revolutionary way for your family to reclaim time, unlock potential, and reimagine what education can be.
At Unbound Academy, students can master their core academics in just two hours a day. Our teachers use an AI-powered learning model to adjust to each child’s pace and interests, ensuring progress happens twice as fast as in a typical classroom.
By cutting out the fluff and streamlining coursework, we not only make a significant academic impact—we make learning fun, personal, and incredibly effective.
There is so much to cover for this exciting role, and space here is limited. Hit the Apply button if you found this interesting and want to learn more. We look forward to meeting you!
