HIRING IMMEDIATELY
Sunstates Security is hiring Unarmed Security Officers in the Uptown Charlotte, NC area. All days and shifts are available on an as need basis! These positions offer a pay rate of $18.72/hr, with weekly pay.
Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular patrols of the property on foot and via golf cart
- Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
- Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies
- Communicate clearly and professionally via radio, phone, and in-person
- Maintain detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs using computer systems
- Collaborate effectively with team members, building management, and law enforcement when necessary
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor at all times
- Enforce building policies and procedures consistently and respectfully
- Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering the premises
- Assist with evacuation procedures and emergency response protocols.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in physical security or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in basic computer applications (e.g., email, incident reporting software).
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to work all shifts as needed, including weekends and holidays.
- Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional security certifications a plus
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Class A building operations and tenant relations.
- CPR/First Aid certification.
- Experience with access control systems and CCTV monitoring.
Work Environment:
- Indoor and outdoor patrols in varying weather conditions.
- Standing, walking, and driving a golf cart for extended periods.
- Interaction with tenants, visitors, and building staff.
A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security Officer will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.
