We're looking for a detail-driven Technical Writer to create, edit, and manage technical materials across a variety of platforms—from web-based content to multimedia and print. In this role, you'll collaborate with subject matter experts, maintain consistency across documentation, and ensure timely publication of all materials. You'll also help craft technical diagrams, work within content management systems, and follow established style guidelines. What You’ll Do:
- Create, develop, and edit operational and instructional documentation across various formats including print, web-based, and multimedia.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather information, define target audiences, and assess documentation needs.
- Analyze processes, procedures, and system workflows to produce clear, user-focused content for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Lead or contribute to documentation efforts across single or multiple projects to enhance the usability and business value of company products.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of one (1) year of relevant technical writing experience preferably in the software industry
- Working knowledge of one or more of the following: Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe Acrobat Pro, help- system authoring tools, Microsoft Visual Studio Team Explorer, and Camtasia or other multimedia tools
- Working knowledge of Yardi Documentation Handbook or Yardi Help Authoring Guide
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new tools, processes, and standards
- Robust knowledge of document structuring, content communications, and presentation techniques
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Style Guide
- Demonstrated ability to explain technical concepts to audiences that have varying degrees of technical ability
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong time management skills and an ability to take accountability for completing projects
- Demonstrated ability to absorb and retain information quickly, specifically complex technical information
- Demonstrated ability to analyze target audience and to present ideas in user-friendly language
- Knowledge of applicable industry/field experience
