Requirements

The instructor will play a crucial role in fostering intellectual growth, cultural understanding, and personal development among a diverse student population. The ideal candidate for this position will possess strong patience, teaching and organizational skills, and demonstrated interest in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.

Work Interactions

The Teaching Assistant will primarily engage with students to provide a supportive educational environment. In addition, the position reports to CMEA’s Program Directors.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Professional experience tutoring or teaching in a classroom.
  • Professional or personal experience with underserved students of color.
  • Professional experience with editing, copyediting, or publishing
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to connect with and inspire diverse groups of students.
  • A commitment to fostering inclusivity, cultural awareness, and equity in education.
