SUMMARY

Learn to be a Table Games Dealer and Supervisor in a Dual Rate position at Grand Sierra Resort & Casino! In this role, you will be trained to deal assigned games, control the pace of games, and also be trained as a Table Games Supervisor. Casino table games encompass a broad spectrum of games such as Blackjack, Roulette, Pai Gow Poker, and more. Learn how to adhere to game protection, deal games according to procedures, and how to handle all bets on assigned games.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary expectations and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Dealer:
  • Learn to create and ensure a fun-filled, entertaining and exciting environment for GSR guests.
  • Learn to deal assigned games and control pace of game, adhere to game protection and Grand Sierra Resort & Casino dealing procedures.

Supervisor:

  • Ensure that dealers provide prompt, accurate, and courteous service to guests, utilizing the highest degree of technical skill in dealing while adhering to established standard policies and procedures.
  • Track and document play, including but not limited to: buy-in, average bets, time played, and win/loss.
  • Read game layout, wagers, winning/losing wagers, etc., and computer monitor & reports for extended periods of time.
  • Perform mathematical operations quickly and accurately to approve payoffs & verify shift/player/table win/loss.
  • Ability to work on weekends, varied shifts, holidays, extended hours, and during periods of high business volume.
  • Contact surveillance and/or shift manager if questionable transactions have occurred and/or at appropriate win/loss levels.
  • Monitor and maintain the integrity of all games in assigned section, both at the dealer and guest levels.
  • Ensure the Table Games pit and assigned games always meet the highest level of cleanliness.
  • Verify cheque inventories for opening and closing of games.
  • Adhere to all game controls and procedures (as outlined in the dealer and supervisor department manual) and ensure dealers comply with same.
  • Comply with all State gaming rules and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Ability to learn all Gaming Regulations for compliance.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in English both written and verbally.
  • Must offer the highest possible level of guest service resulting in a maximum level of player enjoyment and return play.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • A high school diploma and some college preferred.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES

  • Must be able to maintain appropriate Gaming License & Alcohol Awareness card.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member must be able to maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with guests, management, team members and others.
  • Is regularly required to sit; stand; walk and move through all areas of the casino; speak and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • May reach with hands and arms above shoulder level; bend/stoop, squat, balance, kneel, lift and push/pull.
  • The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
