The Meadows on University is currently searching for a talented Social Services Assistant to join our team!

Social Services Assistant Responsibilities:

The Social Services Assistant will assist in planning, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the overall operation of the Social Service Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, facility policies and procedures or as may be directed by the Administrator to assure that the medically related emotional and social needs of the resident are met and maintained on an individual basis. This position assumes the authority, responsibility, and accountability for carrying out duties in the Social Service Department.

Social Services Assistant Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a training and competency evaluation program required.
  • Completion of orientation required by company policy.
  • Health screening and TB test (if required) within two weeks of employment.
  • Mandatory drug test within 90 days of hire.
  • Must be free of criminal activity proven by a criminal background check.
  • Show within three (3) days of hire satisfactory evidence of identity and eligibility for employment.
  • Highschool Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Social Services or similar role.
  • Experience working with geriatric residents is a plus!
