RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is for all aspects of material handling and safe operation of material handling equipment. The following are core essential functions of the position:

• Operate material handling equipment to load and unload product in an efficient and safe manner.

• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs.

• Accurately load and unload product, using forklifts.

• Ensure that bundle and band material still meets inspection.

• Check product for visual properties or damage prior to shipment leaving.

• Ensure that all shipments are correctly loaded and stable.

• Record numbers of units handled and moved, using pick list.

• Move stock, and other materials to and from yard and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, or using forklifts and other equipment.

• Rebundle product as necessary.

• Assist with inventory counting and reporting.

• Assist with receiving inventory.

• Carry out general yard duties such as cleaning up debris/scrap, maintenance up keep of the yard and/or equipment, and maintaining efficiency of the stock inventory in the yard.

• Shovel material such as gravel or ice within the yard or around the premises.

• Perform daily routine maintenance checks on loading equipment.

• Reliable attendance.

• Comply with all company standards, rules and policies.

• Other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or GED.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to work 8-hour shifts.

• Must be able to stand and walk up to 8 hours per day.

• Must be able to lift, push and lift product with weights up to 60 pounds

SCHEDULE

• 8-hour shift

• Day shift

• Monday to Friday

• Overtime

• Weekends as needed

• Expected hours: 40 per week
