Job Overview
The Automotive Service Manager is responsible for overseeing daily service operations to ensure exceptional customer service, efficient work processes, and a profitable service department. This role involves managing a team of technicians, service advisors, and support staff while working closely with other departments to maintain a high level of performance and coordination throughout the dealership.

Car Lux is different than other dealerships. We believe the car buying experience should be a positive and easy one. So come down and see what kind of service we provide our customers. Established in 2004, we always loved cars. As kids we always were around cars and learned a lot about them. We knew our futures were always going to be in the car business. Either fixing, selling, or my personal favorite, racing them on the track. But since we love our family, but still love our cars, we decided to just sell them. While my other friends were chasing after girls, we were busy chasing cars. At an early age we figured out we were car fanatics. So we opened our first location in 2004, which had an inventory of only 10 cars. After serving customers well, we started doubling up inventory every year. Results were so good that people figured out the place where you can get a luxury car for a good price without getting ripped off.

This role involves managing a team of technicians, service advisors, and support staff while working closely with other departments to maintain a high level of performance and coordination throughout the dealership.
Responsibilities
- Manage service department employees, including technicians, service advisors, and support staff, to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the service experience, from appointment scheduling and vehicle drop-off to final vehicle delivery, maintaining open communication and delivering exceptional service.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with other departmental managers to ensure efficient coordination and communication between departments.
- Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and dealership policies related to service department operations, including safety, environmental, and customer service standards.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to service department employees to improve performance, develop skills, and enhance career growth opportunities.
- Monitor service department performance through the use of key performance indicators and take corrective action as needed to improve results.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate record-keeping to minimize loss and promote profitability.
- Manage transportation of vehicles being delivered to the dealership and/or being sent to other locations.
- 2+ years of experience managing an automotive service department, mechanic shop, or related operation.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
- Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of automotive service management software.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Pay depends on experience.
