Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Investigation in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff. You will communicate clearly, respond to incidents, and support a welcoming environment while demonstrating Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven values.

Pay Rate: $20.50 / Hour

What You'll Do

  • Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, customer concerns, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, store corridors, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting maintenance concerns, policy violations, and unusual conditions to site leadership and/or appropriate personnel.
  • Document incidents, patrol observations, and customer interactions accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal management and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
