We are seeking a Senior Geospatial Fire Analyst & Systems Analyst with over 5 years of experience to bridge fire science, spatial analysis, and software development.

- Model wildfire hazards and risks using fire behavior software and GIS tools.
- Edit and refine fuelscapes, vegetation data, and canopy fuel layers for national datasets.
- Support wildfire risk assessment through fire behavior analysis.
- Translate fire operational workflows into technical software user stories.
- Collaborate with developers to test and deploy wildfire risk datasets.
- Degree or equivalent work experience; 5+ years in wildfire analysis or related fields.
- Deep knowledge of fire behavior models, surface/canopy fuel models, and simulation software.
- Experience with software development tools, AI-assisted coding, and translating requirements into scalable solutions.
- Proficiency with SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), version control (Git), CI/CD practices, and unit testing.
- Expertise in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or MapInfo.
- Preferred NWCG qualifications (FBAN or LTAN) and wildfire firefighting experience.
- Familiarity with AI tools for knowledge support and technical requirements creation.
