Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities

  • Own the product strategy, roadmap, positioning, and lifecycle plan for assigned cardio categories and models.
  • Develop market requirements, product requirements, business cases, revenue forecasts, target costs, pricing recommendations, and margin objectives for new products and enhancements.
  • Gather and synthesize insights from customers, operators, exercisers, dealers, distributors, sales teams, service teams, and competitive research to identify unmet needs and market opportunities.
  • Define product features and performance requirements, including biomechanics, ergonomics, durability, user experience, industrial design, console functionality, connectivity, accessibility, safety, and serviceability.
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, and suppliers to manage development milestones, validation testing, certifications, pilot builds, field trials, and launch readiness.
  • Manage console, software, digital-content, and third-party integration requirements in coordination with Digital and Technology teams.
  • Monitor product quality, warranty trends, field performance, escalated service issues, and customer feedback; lead cross-functional corrective actions and continuous improvements.
  • Support demand planning, inventory strategy, product transitions, end-of-life decisions, and supply priorities with Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance.
  • Develop pricing architecture and conduct analysis of factory cost, landed cost, MSRP, channel pricing, competitive pricing, and margin impact by market and geography.
  • Create portfolio packages, options, accessories, and recommended configurations that improve customer value, commercial sell-through, and product-line profitability.
  • Serve as the product expert for Sales, dealers, distributors, key accounts, and customers; support specifications, proposals, demonstrations, facility planning, and strategic opportunities.
  • Lead product training and develop clear positioning, competitive comparisons, FAQs, launch materials, and field-enablement resources.
  • Support trade shows, showrooms, customer events, and product demonstrations, ensuring products are presented accurately and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate product specifications, model data, option codes, compatibility information, sales-planning assets, manuals, and digital content across company systems.
  • Track portfolio performance against revenue, margin, mix, inventory, quality, and launch objectives; recommend actions to close performance gaps.

Product Development & Market Requirements

  • Translate customer needs and market insights into prioritized product requirements, specifications, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
  • Establish target market segments, value propositions, volume assumptions, revenue projections, margin targets, and return-on-investment expectations.
  • Ensure products meet commercial standards for durability, biomechanics, safety, regulatory compliance, serviceability, scalability, and profitability.
  • Participate in design reviews, prototype evaluations, validation testing, pilot installations, and go/no-go decisions throughout the development process.

Portfolio, Pricing & Financial Performance

  • Manage the assigned cardio portfolio to achieve revenue, gross-margin, and net-income goals.
  • Maintain competitive pricing and positioning strategies by product, channel, geography, and customer segment.
  • Evaluate product mix, cost-reduction opportunities, feature investments, line extensions, and product rationalization decisions.
  • Provide timely reporting and recommendations on portfolio performance, market conditions, risks, and opportunities.
