General Manager - Hotel Operations & Leadership Start Your Journey with Midas Hospitality: Midas Hospitality is seeking an experienced, strategic, and hands-on General Manager to lead all aspects of hotel operations. This leadership position is responsible for driving financial performance, creating exceptional guest experiences, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring the hotel consistently meets Midas Hospitality and brand standards. What You Will Be Doing: As a General Manager, you will serve as the overall leader of the hotel, responsible for operational success, associate engagement, guest satisfaction, and financial performance. Responsibilities include: Lead and oversee all hotel departments, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Engineering, Sales, and other operational teams. Recruit, hire, train, coach, develop, and recognize associates while fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Establish clear performance expectations and hold leadership teams accountable for achieving operational and financial goals. Drive guest satisfaction initiatives by maintaining high service standards, addressing escalated concerns, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience. Manage hotel financial performance including budgets, forecasting, P&L statements, labor costs, expense controls, and profitability initiatives. Analyze financial reports, operating statements, and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for increased revenue and improved efficiency. Partner with Sales and Revenue Management teams to maximize occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, market share, and overall hotel performance. Ensure compliance with Midas Hospitality standards, brand requirements, local regulations, and safety procedures. Oversee quality assurance inspections, property appearance, preventative maintenance initiatives, and protection of the hotel assets. Build strong relationships with guests, associates, ownership groups, vendors, and community partners. Lead departmental meetings, communicate company initiatives, and create alignment across all hotel teams. Utilize hotel management systems, reports, and data to make informed operational decisions. Manage emergency situations, operational challenges, and guest recovery situations with professionalism and urgency. Support additional projects and strategic initiatives assigned by regional or corporate leadership. What You Bring: Previous hotel leadership experience required, including experience as a General Manager, Assistant General Manager, or Department Head. Strong understanding of hotel operations, financial management, and hospitality performance metrics. Experience managing Profit & Loss statements, budgets, forecasting, labor management, and cost controls. Proven ability to lead, motivate, coach, and develop diverse teams. Knowledge of revenue management principles, sales strategies, and market positioning. Strong understanding of guest satisfaction metrics, quality assurance standards, and brand compliance. Excellent communication, organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with hotel Property Management Systems (PMS), Microsoft Office, and operational reporting tools. Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and respond to hotel emergencies as necessary. Physical Requirements: This position requires frequent standing, walking, and movement throughout the hotel property, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. Candidates should be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. The role may require occasional bending, reaching, climbing stairs, and responding to emergency situations. Work is performed in both office and hotel operational environments.
