We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Media Mill Operator to support our manufacturing operations. This role involves handling raw materials, operating specialized equipment, and ensuring product quality through standardized processes. Responsibilities
- Complete Respirator Fit Test and safety training
- Participate in employee orientation and follow safety policies
- Maintain housekeeping standards using 5S practices
- Execute corrective actions as needed
- Operate Premier Mill and Neos 20 Mill
- Handle raw materials and manage weigh-up processes for water-based flexo and coating systems
- Use scales accurately for material measurement
- Operate post mixers, air mixers, and KH vessels
- Package products according to specifications
- Manage fillovers and batch ticket controls
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow document control procedures
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently
- Adhere to attendance guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in manufacturing or warehouse operations preferred
- Ability to follow written procedures and standard work
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working in a physically active role
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain
- Basic computer and math skills
- Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
- Document nonconformances and implement corrective actions
- Stop processes within scope when safety or quality is compromised
- Exercise authority as defined in written procedures upon completion of qualification training
- Strong eye-hand coordination
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with consistency
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently for extended periods
