Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Radiology Administrator, the Mammography Technologist will perform screening mammograms at Plaza del Sol Family Health Center in Corona, Queens.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum $60.00 per hour; Maximum $64.00 per hour contingent on established years of experience practicing with ARRT(M) Licensure.
Work Environment Type, Location, and Schedule:
Onsite, Corona, Queens Monday to Friday daytime schedule.

Job Requirements

Under the direction of the Radiology Administrator, the Mammography Technologist will perform screening mammograms at Plaza del Sol Family Health Center in Corona, Queens.
Minimum Qualifications
- ARRT Mammography Certification
- NYS DOH Radiology Technician License
- Knowledge of Digital 3-D and Quality Control highly desired.
- Completion of 2 years from Accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
- 2+ years minimum of related experience with mammograms
- Bilingual English/Spanish highly desired.
- Complete patient education regarding the exam, promote patient privacy and comfort.
- Perform screening mammography as ordered. Completes appropriate documentation.
- Acts as lead for the division in supporting training of other Mammo Techs.
- Produce high quality films for the radiologist to evaluation.
- Performs quality control functions related to mammography.
- Follow infection control and safety guidelines.
- Demonstrate understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
- Maintain a high degree of accuracy in mammography positioning and exposure technique.
- Serves as primary liaison between patients, Radiologists and other members of the support team.
- Participates in continuing education and learning experiences to enhance and maintain current knowledge and skills for continued competence.
- Perform all duties using proper body mechanics, including manual dexterity and fine motor coordination.
