Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$38.48 - $50.01 / hour
Summary
The Laboratory Supervisor is responsible for the technical and support functions of a defined laboratory section and for the day-to-day operation of that section. The Laboratory Supervisor is responsible for direct supervision of technical and support personnel within the section and is the primary technical/clinical resource for staff. Works with the Laboratory leadership team and pathologists in the research, development, and implementation of new clinical/technical procedures. Assures appropriate training and competence of staff. Identifies problems and opportunities for performance improvement, waste elimination, and cost containment. Works with other leadership staff within the facility as a representative of the laboratory section. All job duties shall be performed in accordance with all applicable State and Federal laws, JCAHO, CAP, AABB, and FDA regulations/standards.
Requirements
Education:Three or four years of formal education or training beyond school or B.S. or B.A. degree required.
Experience:Minimum of three years recent laboratory experience in the Medical Technology field required.
Certification:N/A
License:State of Florida Department of Health, Clinical Laboratory Supervisor.
Other:Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Requires strong analytical skills, good time management skills, and ability to solve problems.
