Job Title: Job Developer

Job Summary:

CASES is seeking an experienced, self-motivated, results oriented Job Developer who has expertise in employer engagement and job development for individuals who have legal system involvement. The ideal candidate will be responsible for establishing paid internships in the industrial/infrastructure and service industries as well as ensuring job placements for participants in alignment with their career aspirations.

Shift Hours: This position is full-time Monday - Friday from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM with flexibility

Location Address: 4 West 125th Street, New York, NY 10027 with travel throughout the city to employer partners as needed. Our office is easily accessible by public transportation.

Workplace Flexibility: Flexible - Staff have flexibility to complete their workday from home or another suitable space, typically after reporting to the office and/or engaging in field or community-based work

Salary: The salary for this role is $65,000 per year

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Identify and establish relationships with employers, internship sites, training partners and workforce development agencies who are mission aligned with CASES in the industrial and infrastructure and service industries
  • Maintain relationships with partners in the industrial and infrastructure and service industries engaging with them regularly to ensure their needs and expectations are met
  • Facilitate placements in internships and credentialing cohorts
  • Facilitate placements ensuring both participants and employer partners have a good fit
  • Build and maintain employer job bank
  • Collaborate with training instructors to ensure successful advancement of participants to internships, credential obtainment and job placement
  • Responsible for complete, accurate and timely submission of all documentation, referrals, follow ups and verifications required for the program
  • Work collaboratively with team to coordinate and facilitate recruitment days, job fairs, and employment panels
  • Other duties as needed or required


What We Are Looking For:

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • At least three (3) years of successful and relevant experience serving the population identified in the eligibility criteria, including but not limited to, job development, employer engagement, recruitment, and targeted industry experience in the proposed sector
  • Experience in sales, job development, social service or employment and training programs
  • Strong communication skills, professional demeanor and organizational skills
  • Passion for working with at risk populations


Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong ability to monitor multiple job placements, track participant progress and maintain deadlines
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with employer partners
