LaSante Health Center is seeking an Insurance Verification Specialist to ensure all patient visits and procedures are properly verified with insurance providers. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, efficient, and skilled at navigating insurance processes to support seamless patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Review provider schedules to verify insurance coverage for all patients and procedures
- Confirm eligibility, benefits, and coverage details with insurance companies
- Troubleshoot issues related to out-of-network coverage, procedure approvals, or payment denials
- Communicate with patients regarding insurance status and financial responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
- Complete additional tasks as directed by supervisor
- Previous experience in insurance verification, medical billing, or a related role preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency with computers and electronic health record systems
- Ability to problem-solve and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
