Job Description
Responsible for leading and driving continuous improvement activities using lean manufacturing principles in support of meeting financial, business and leadership development goals. These activities will vary from lean training, leading events, executing value stream processes, and project management.

Job Description
Responsible for leading and driving continuous improvement activities using lean manufacturing principles in support of meeting financial, business and leadership development goals. These activities will vary from lean training, leading events, executing value stream processes, and project management.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Including but not limited to:
- Drive and execute lean initiatives, including value stream processes, TPM, 5S, visual factory, Kanban, and other lean tools and principles.
- Drive process improvement efforts through Kaizen activities, Value stream mapping in an effort to impact the customer and business metrics and create processes and metrics to track the performance of lean activities and ensure sustainability.
- Assist in project identification/ selection, assuring linkage between projects and business and customer priorities.
- Implement pull processes between manufacturing processes.
- Develop and maintain detailed process maps, metrics, and control plans for the key manufacturing processes.
- Train and coach process owners, process improvement leaders, and project teams in the use of improvement tools and methodology to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Acts as change agent to instill Lean culture throughout the plant.
- Drives willingness to change by using personal position to “sell the dream”
- Support projects such as reducing operating costs through cost reduction, improved process control, machine reliability, and introducing new products and processes.
- Identify gaps in performance against Best in Class and lead improvement initiatives that close gaps
- Manufacturing environment, with exposure to wood dusts and cabinet making related materials.
- Exposure to hot/cold elements due to non-climate controlled environment Wearing of Personal Protection Equipment required
- Work is primarily day shift. Occasional need to flex schedule to train and support night shift
- Overtime follows the plant schedule.
- Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching and grasping.
- Frequently walking and standing in manufacturing facility.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- High School Diploma or GED Required.
- Some college experience is preferred.
- Strong change management skills and experience.
- Outstanding verbal and written communications skills
- Excellent follow through and sense of urgency
- Positive attitude and self-driven to succeed
- Proficient in computer skills (Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook typing)
- Must be bilingual (English and Spanish)
